Book Twirps will always respect the privacy of our readers. The only time Book Twirps will ask for an email address is for our giveaways or if you sign up for our newsletter. The email addresses collected during the giveaway are never displayed, sold or shared in any way. Once the giveaway is complete and the winner has been contacted, the data sheet containing all entrants information is destroyed. Please don’t leave your email address, or any other personal information, in the comments of this blog. Only enter it where requested on the secure giveaway form. Should you leave your email address – even if it is masked, ie: admin (at) booktwirps (dot) com – in the comments section, you open yourself up to someone stealing your email address and spamming you.
All contests winners are contacted by email and announced on the blog. The only information we will share about you in the post is the name (or handle) you entered the contest with and a link to your blog should you have one.
Your email address will also be collected should you voluntarily sign up for our newsletter. We use Constant Contact for our newsletter management. Anyone subscribing to our newsletter will receive a confirmation email requiring the user to activate their subscription. Users may also unsubscribe from the newsletter, hassle-free, at any time. This blog is not directed at, or intended for use by, anyone under the age of thirteen. Our giveaways are typically only for our visitors age sixteen and above, but all users under the age of eighteen MUST have their parents permission to enter, and we would prefer you use your parents information when signing up. Since we can’t possibly check everyone’s birth certificate, it is the user’s responsibility to be truthful when they enter any contest here.
